Vulfpeck at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

On Saturday, July 5, 2025, Red Rocks Amphitheatre sold out for an unforgettable evening featuring Arc De Soleilopening and Vulfpeck headlining.
Arc De Soleil set the tone with a lush, surf‑psychedelic instrumental set, filling the venue with hypnotic grooves and cinematic atmosphere—a perfect palette‑cleanser before the funk storm.
When Vulfpeck took the stage around 9 PM, it was a masterclass in rhythm and groove. They launched straight into fan favorites like Dean Town and 1612, then dropped a mix of vintage cuts (Cory Wong, Disco Ulysses) and newer material from Clarity of Cal—including seven full tracks from that album. The night featured special cameos: drummer Adam Deitch (of Lettuce) tore into Funky Duck, and singer Evangeline joined for Tokyo Night. They rounded out the main set with New Beastly, Baby I Don’t Know Oh Oh, and Back Pocket.
In short: from dreamy opener to funk‑fueled finale, it was a show built for groove-heads and sold‑out vibes.
Arc Du Soliel
Arc De Soleil is the instrumental alter ego of Swedish-Sri Lankan artist Daniel Kadawatha. Blending surf guitar, psychedelic funk, and global grooves, his music feels like Khruangbin on a desert road trip. With over 350 million streams and a growing cult following, his debut LP Lumin Rain is a lush, cinematic soundtrack for daydreamers and headphone wanderers alike.
Vulfpeck
Vulfpeck is the funky underdog story that somehow won. Formed by a group of tight-knit music nerds from the University of Michigan, the band has built a cult following through word-of-mouth, viral YouTube performances, and a total rejection of the music industry’s bloated nonsense. Known for their crisp grooves, zero-frills aesthetic, and an ever-rotating cast of musical geniuses (Cory Wong, Theo Katzman, Joe Dart, Jack Stratton, Woody Goss—the gang’s all here), Vulfpeck sounds like if Steely Dan, James Brown, and your coolest uncle made a funk band in a garage and actually pulled it off. Their live shows? A masterclass in musicianship wrapped in dad jokes and deep-pocket bass lines. If you don’t walk away smiling, or dancing, you probably weren’t paying attention.
