Tucked into the LoDo district, Summit Denver is a mid-sized, general admission venue known for its stacked alt/indie and hip-hop lineups, crisp sound system, and front-row-or-nothing energy. Whether you’re catching a national headliner or a breakout band on their first tour through Colorado, Summit strikes that rare balance between intimate and explosive.
This guide covers everything you need to know to navigate the venue like a local, including tips from photographers, fans, and contributors who’ve been through the barricade more times than they can count.
Location & Parking
Address: 1902 Blake St, Denver CO 80202
Parking in downtown Denver can be a challenge, especially during events. Here are some tips to help you plan ahead:
Street Parking: It’s downtown. So… yeah. Street parking after 6 PM is sometimes free, but don’t count on it. Usually limited to a 2-hour maximum until 10 PM. Be cautious, as some meters have specific restrictions, and Denver is known for strict parking enforcement.
Nearby Parking Lots:
McGregor Square Garage: Located at 1901 Wazee St., just 0.08 miles from the venue.
18th and Market Lot: Situated at 1801 Market St., also 0.08 miles away.
SP+ Parking: Found at 1615 18th St., approximately 0.14 miles from Summit.
Reserve in Advance: Consider using services like SpotHero to find and book your parking spot ahead of time, ensuring a smooth experience.
Be extra mindful during baseball season as Coors Field is very close and parking can be more difficult during game nights with many lots and parking garages changing their regular fees for entry on those days/nights.
Doors & Set Times
Doors typically open one hour before the show.
Set times vary and are rarely posted publicly. Follow Summit’s social accounts or the artist’s socials for last second updates.
There’s no re-entry; once you’re in, you’re committed (besides the smoking section).
Venue Layout, Sound & Security
Will Call can be found outside the venue on the north side of the building on Blake St.
Capacity ~ 1,100
General admission across the floor, with limited balcony access (generally reserved for VIP or upgraded seats which cost EXTRA per seat).
Sound is strong across most of the room, but the center, slightly behind the pit, tends to offer the cleanest audio mix.
Want a more relaxed view? There is a slightly elevated section (stage left) with extremely limited bar tables (sometimes reserved for VIP) near the ADA seating section.
Speaking of ADA, there is a section for ADA requirements but it tends to be almost side stage with some limiting views.
For the most up to date policies be sure to check out Summit’s official FAQ page regarding their policies.
Concessions
Drinks can be pricey, expect standard LiveNation bar rates ($13-$17 for canned cocktails or drafts).
The main bar is located at the main entrance of the venue, and there are smaller satellite bars located upstairs on the balcony and one stage left behind ADA seating section.
If you’re hungry, have no fear, Summit offers pizza by the slice from Denver's favorite Marquis Pizza. Pick up a large slice of pepperoni or cheese pizza to enjoy during the show.
