Attack Attack!, One Hit Wonder Tour at Marquis Theater

Denver’s Marquis Theater shook hard on 8/29/2025 as Attack Attack! brought their brand of chaos to the mile-high faithful on their One Hit Wonder Tour. The night opened with Versus Me, who wasted no time setting the tone with heavy riffs, crowd energy on tap, and a front row that looked like they’d been waiting all week to throw down. Savage Hands followed with a set that blended melody and muscle, striking that sweet spot between sing-along hooks and breakdown grit.

By the time Attack Attack! hit the stage, the room was primed. Known for their mash-up of metalcore intensity and electronic weirdness, they delivered exactly what fans came for: relentless energy, precision chaos, and just enough unpredictability to keep things dangerous. The pit stayed wild, the crowd never let up, and even a couple kids got lifted up and sent surfing across the Marquis floor, proof that the next generation is being raised right.

Big thanks to Cameron for being the homie and getting me the AA pass for the night. It’s always refreshing when the people behind the strings (or in the band) are just as solid offstage as they are on.

Versus Me

Out of Janesville, Wisconsin, Versus Me (formed around 2014) are a four-piece metalcore outfit that swears by stage-ready anthems and slick, hard-hitting production. Founded with ties to members of Serianna and Alesana, they landed their first single “(A)Tension” in 2015, collaborating with Craig Mabbitt from Escape the Fate. Long on midwestern grit and a solid touring road game, notably alongside acts like I Prevail, they’ve honed a sound that hits big and stays in your head.

Savage Hands

Savage Hands are a five‑piece metalcore/post‑hardcore outfit from the DMV (Maryland–Virginia–DC) circuit. They’ve made a name for themselves with adrenaline‑fueled songwriting, emotional punch, and resonant breakdowns. Their debut full‑length The Truth in Your Eyes (2020) is stacked with visceral tracks like “Demon” and “Lonely,” powered by expressive vocal hooks and dynamic riffs. They deliver every show like it’s their last raw, relentless, and impossible to ignore.

Attack Attack!

Attack Attack! blasted out of Westerville, Ohio, in 2007 and quickly went from MySpace metalcore meme to scene leaders, the originators of “crabcore,” of all things. After a hiatus that ended in 2020, they’ve resurfaced with a brand new lineup (vocalist Chris Parketny, guitarist/clean vocals Ryland Raus, bassist Cameron Perry, alongside OG drummer Andrew Wetzel) and crushed it with new material that feels both nostalgic and next-level.

Their latest full-length, Attack Attack! II, dropped August 8, 2025 (via Oxide Records) the band’s first album in 13 years. It’s pedal-to-the-metal but unafraid of warped smiles: think glitchy metalcore, dumbed‑down EDM breaks, and tongue‑in‑cheek chaos. Lead single “Dance!”, featuring Lorna Shore’s Will Ramos, marries dance‑pop energy with breakdown brutality; “Chainless” and “Karmageddon” double down on heavy riffs and unhinged aggression.

Critics call it a reinvention wrapped in sarcasm; an album that “weaponizes nostalgia,” blurs genre lines, and makes wrestling with your scene‑kid past feel fresh again. In short? Attack Attack! are back, weirder, and still have a lot of tricks left.
